Specialisation

Merel works as an attorney at law and is a member of the practice group IP/IT. She concentrates especially on commercial contracts and IT & Privacy issues.

Background

Merel graduated from Leiden University, where she obtained a master’s degree in Civil Law in 2019. During her studies she studied a semester at Trinity College Dublin, worked as a volunteer at a legal advice center, was a board member at a study association and has completed several internships at law firms. She has been working at Ploum as a legal consultant since June 2020. As of July 2020 Merel works as an attorney at law.

Merel is actively involved in the Dutch Arbitration Association.
